What's in the name?

The name "Blue Wonder Communications" is derived from the common name of the "Loschwitz Bridge" in Dresden, a cantilever truss bridge over the river Elbe. With an unsupported span of 140 m, the bridge is a masterpiece of engineering from the 19th century, considered a technological marvel (hence: "Wonder") by contemporaries. Its color is blue which led to the common name Blue Wonder. Legend has it that the bridge was originally painted in green, but due to some environmental influence the color turned to blue. The "Blue Wonder" bridge is a famous and popular symbol of the city and also a symbol for innovation, engineering expertise and technical progress. Blue Wonder Communications will carry these values into the 21st century.
